Would You Travel Across The Country For Just One Day at Drama School?

Would You Travel Across The Country For Just One Day at Drama School? Two years ago, Emil Dale Academy wondered if it could really work.

A musical theatre programme that meets just one Sunday a month, bringing together talented young performers from across the UK, to train in acting, singing, and dance at their very own studios.

Would the travel be worth it? Would the once-a-month structure really make an impact?

Fast forward to today, and the Emil Dale Associates programme has become one of the most popular part-time courses that the academy offers.
For one Sunday every month, between 10:30am and 3pm, the Associates step into the studios and throw themselves into masterclasses led by industry professionals. Working across all three performing arts disciplines, the sessions are specifically designed to prepare Associates for full-time drama school auditions. From mastering monologues and perfecting vocal technique to refining dance performance, each lesson is structured to provide the training and insight necessary to stand out in one of the most competitive audition processes in the world.

Associates also have the opportunity to take 1-to-1 private singing lessons, focused on strengthening vocal technique and building audition-ready repertoire; an invaluable opportunity to receive tailored feedback alongside their group training.

Many of the Emil Dale Associates have gone on to secure places on renowned full-time drama school courses, including six moving on to study at Emil Dale Academy, seamlessly stepping into the next stage of their training.

But beyond the results, what’s most inspiring is the commitment. The early starts. The slow train journeys. The willingness to give up a weekend to chase a dream. Because one day a month can make a difference – when you spend it in the right place.

How far would you travel to receive world-class training once a month?
