Record Progression Success for 2025 Sixth Form Graduates at Emil Dale

Emil Dale Academy is celebrating a standout year of success for its Sixth Form and CertHE graduates, with an exceptional number of students securing places at some of the UK’s most prestigious musical theatre and drama schools.

Students from this year’s cohort received offers from institutions including ArtsEd, Mountview, GSA, Laine Theatre Arts, Urdang, and Bird College. These schools are widely regarded as some of the most competitive and sought-after destinations for aspiring performers and Emil Dale Academy’s own degree course continues to stand confidently alongside them.

A record number of applicants auditioned for Emil Dale Academy’s BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course this year, reflecting its growing reputation as one of the UK’s most elite destinations for musical theatre training. The course is distinguished by its exceptional contact hours, weekly one-to-one singing lessons, and an immersive, individually tailored approach to development. Every student is known, championed, and challenged by a team of active industry professionals, with course leaders, tutors, and creatives working closely to ensure training reflects each performer’s individual strengths and needs.

With rising demand and a firm commitment to maintaining the highest possible standards, the Academy has chosen not to increase cohort size, a deliberate decision that safeguards the integrity and personalisation of the training. As a result, the audition process has become even more selective, with only the most outstanding candidates offered a place. This ensures that every student who joins Emil Dale benefits from a concentrated, professionally driven environment that prioritises excellence and career readiness.

This year’s results are part of a much wider pattern of long-term success. Since 2015, Emil Dale students have received over 550 offers from the UK’s top schools, including more than 80 each from Laine Theatre Arts and Bird College, over 100 each from Urdang and Performers College, and 180 offers from ArtsEd, Italia Conti, Mountview, and GSA. These figures are part of a broader pattern that confirms Emil Dale Academy’s place among the top training grounds in the country.

Other notable destinations in 2025 include Performers College, Wilkes Academy, Trinity Laban, London Studio Centre, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and many others. Several students also received offers for one-year foundation courses, giving them valuable entry points into the industry.

Throughout the audition season, the vast majority of students secured multiple offers. Each individual was supported through tailored one-to-one sessions with course leaders, helping them to navigate the audition process, assess their options, and make confident decisions about their future.

“This kind of success doesn’t happen by accident,” said Emil Dale, founder of the Academy. “It’s a combination of relentless hard work from the students and the unwavering support of a team that truly knows how to prepare them for this industry. We’ve made the audition criteria more selective this year because we’re committed to protecting the experience, standards and outcomes that make our training exceptional.”

The 2025 progression data reflects the exceptional standard of training and dedication at Emil Dale Academy, as well as the professionalism and ambition of this year’s students. As they take the next step in their performing journeys, their achievements set a powerful example of what’s possible with the right training, support, and drive.
