Emil Dale Sees Record Agents booked for London Panel Day

For the fourth consecutive year, Emil Dale Academy welcomed more industry agents than students to its London Agent Panel Day. This year marked a new high, with a record number of agencies requesting places and attendance growing to the point that the panel was hosted in the largest studio Pineapple Dance Studios has to offer.

The continued increase in demand reflects both the calibre of the graduating cohort and the Academy’s growing reputation within the industry. Agents attending represented a wide cross-section of the profession, with interest spanning musical theatre, commercial work, and casting teams from the world of cruise and theatre. With more agents than students in the room once again, the event continued a pattern of strong and steadily increasing industry engagement.
Students took part in a structured audition-style session, performing jazz and tap combinations before each presenting a solo song. Many students were recalled by different agents to share contrasting material, allowing the agents to see range, adaptability and how performers respond in the room. The format closely reflected professional audition processes and expectations.

Following the panel day, meetings and conversations around representation began immediately, with offers already coming in at a faster rate than seen for previous year groups.

The London Agent Panel Day sits at the start of three major industry-facing events in Emil Dale Academy’s 2026 calendar. It is followed by the Academy’s full-scale production of The Addams Family, before the graduating cohort presents their work at the Live London Showcase at The Bloomsbury Theatre later in the year.

Alongside this, professional outcomes are already in place. The 2025/26 pantomime season proved to be the busiest in the Academy’s history, with more students than ever securing professional contracts before graduation. As a result, a significant number of this year’s cohort were able to present their Spotlight CVs to the agents with a professional credit already to their name.

Further momentum has followed the recent casting workshop with the Cameron Mackintosh casting team, after which several students have already begun receiving audition calls for major productions. Together, these developments point to a cohort entering its final year with sustained, real-world industry engagement already underway.

As demand for places continues to grow year on year, Emil Dale Academy remains focused on one priority: ensuring students are not only seen, but fully prepared when opportunity arrives.
