Emil Dale Academy BA (Hons) Musical Theatre graduate Rachael Kendall Brown has been cast as Kylie in the upcoming touring production of The High Life – The Musical: Still Living It!
The production, based on the cult-favourite 1990s sitcom, will tour Scotland in Spring 2026 and reunites much of the original television cast, including Alan Cumming and Siobhan Redmond. Rachael will be joining these original cast members in the role of Kylie.
Rachael will be joining the original principal cast from the television series in a newly created leading role. While details of the character are still under wraps ahead of rehearsals, she hints at a role full of energy, leadership and big comedy potential, with plenty still to be discovered as the production continues to take shape.
Since graduating from Emil Dale Academy, Rachael has built an incredible performance career. Most recently, she completed a run in Get Down Tonight at the Charing Cross Theatre as ensemble and covering the lead role Dee. Her credits also include ensemble work on the UK & Ireland tour of Pretty Woman and Molly/Cover Fiona in the US production of Where Eagles Fly.
Speaking to the Emil Dale Academy team about her upcoming time in The High Life, Rachael shared:

I can’t wait to get started and share it all with audiences, the show is HILARIOUS and going to be an absolute hoot.”
