Emil Dale Academy is a full-time professional musical theatre Academy based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We are fast becoming the UK's number one choice for pre-vocational training specialising in MUSICAL THEATRE, 2 YEAR & 1 YEAR GAP / FOUNDATION courses in the country. We also offer a 3 YEAR DEGREE EQUIVALENT.
We are seeking teachers who are passionate about extreme triple-threat musical theatre training. You will be teaching beginners to advanced ages 16 -25 years old, in preparation for a career in the industry.
Emil Dale Academy believe in outstanding, affordable, triple-threat training. We believe in strong discipline and we only specialise in triple-threat musical theatre.
We hold auditions throughout the year and offer places as we go. Our auditions are all day on a Saturday from 10am- 3pm (finish times variable) and the fee is £35. You are only required to prepare two things: one musical theatre song with sheet music and one monologue of your choice. You will then take part in an open jazz class. Remember we are looking for trainability. You do not have to be perfect. The audition fee is £35 which you will need to pay online by filling in the form below. The audition fee is non-refundable.
We believe the best way to get a feel for our Academy is to attend one of our Open Days or watch one of our full scale production in our theatre book here www.factoryplayhouse.com. Meet the teachers, look around the building and take classes in all disciplines. We only offer a limited number of open days. Please note: You ALSO get to look around, meet teachers and ask questions on our audition days. You can also book an open day below.
Students apply directly to Emil Dale Academy for the BA Hons Musical Theatre course. Students do not have to apply through UCAS for this course
Following the recent government initiatives to tackle COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are changing our audition process over to a virtual experience.
Emil Dale Academy has one of the most robust triple-threat audition processes for musical theatre training. We assure you this will not be compromised over this audition process.
As part of our audition day, we conduct a Q&A session which we will still be doing via social media. You will be sent details of when this is taking place. Emil Dale will be available to answer any questions and give you an insight into our college life!
Please submit the below requirements to us at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Our normal audition panel, which includes Emil Dale and our Heads of Departments, will review the submissions and subsequently process each application in detail. You will receive a response within 2-4 weeks as normal with the outcome of your audition.
