Emil Dale Weekend School is a musical theatre training destination for young performers who have a passion for performing and wish to train with industry professionals. Emil Dale prides itself on being a place of acceptance and individuality, as well as learning to work cohesively in a team. Members gain new skills in musical theatre, as well as growing in confidence and self-discipline.
We offer comprehensive training which concentrates on many disciplines: West End Jazz, Singing Technique, Acting for Stage and Screen, Choral Singing, Song & Dance, Performance Technique, Commercial Dance and many more.
Offering a unique format, members at the Weekend School take 5 classes a week with both resident and guest industry professional teachers. Members are split into 10 age-appropriate teams, training for 3.5 hours on a Sunday (ages 5 - 12 in the morning, and ages 13+ in the afternoon). Emil Dale Weekend School also offers classes for ages 3-4 year olds, and additional 1-2-1 lessons and specialist classes.
Linked to our agency, Dale Hammond Associates, many weekend school members gain professional work from their training and representation through the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to play piano to an excellent standard
- Confident in teaching private 1-2-1 lessons
- Able to work with students aged 3-21
- Passionate about Musical Theatre training with excellent subject knowledge
- You must be available and fully commit to our set teaching days weekly
- You must have experience in teaching professionally
- Highly motivated with dedication to the end goal of delivering exceptional teaching
- Strong organisational skills
- Strategic thinker, able to plan and implement decisions
- Enthusiastic, approachable and flexible
- Ability to identify and progress work priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to motivate students

Person Specification - Experience
~ Experience in teaching and assessing in further education
~ Working in a performing arts environment
~ Experience in managing educational correspondence relating to quality assurance
~ Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
~ Experience of working under own initiative and as part of a team to identify and resolve problems
~ Strong attention to detail
~ Excellent organisational capabilities
~ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal appropriately with a wide variety of people in a confident and friendly manner
~ Excellent time management
~ Tactful, diplomatic and assertive in dealing with challenging situations
~ Excellent interpersonal skills
~ A high level of written and spoken English
Qualifications, Experience and Training Required
At least a Degree level qualification in associated subject (Desirable)
A detailed knowledge and understanding of practices within the music field specifically in relation to musical theatre
Several years of professional experience
Safeguarding, GDPR and Prevent (Desirable)
